Toronto girl was walking to school with brother when a man tried to cut her hijab off. Says man ran away when she screamed, then came back and tried again. Says he smiled, and ran off. Says she was 'confused, scared, terrified.'

Toronto police are checking reports that a student was attacked by a man who cut off her hijab with scissors. The girl was on her way to a Scarborough school that teaches students up to Grade 6.
