Indians pitcher Gavin Christopher Floyd is an American professional baseball starting pitcher for the Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball. He has also played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox and Atlanta Braves.

The right-hander Gavin Christopher Floyd will have surgery on a fractured bone in his right elbow, and could miss the baseball season.

Gavin Christopher Floyd, who missed most of last baseball season with Atlanta with the same elbow injury,Gavin Christopher Floyd will have the operation on Tuesday at the Clinic.

The club signed Floyd as a free agent in the offseason, hoping he could rebound and join their starting rotation. However, he experienced soreness before his spring debut and an MRI last week revealed the fracture.
"He is certainly out for the foreseeable future," manager Terry Francona said.
