Nose jobs at Bangalore,India

Author: Mysore Venkatesh

In cosmetic surgery, rhinoplasty, or more commonly known as nose job, has been considered as one of the oldest forms of cosmetic surgery in the world. It is believed to have been developed by an Indian physician called Sushruta during hat the procedure has already been in practice since 500 BC, in which , have first developed the method. Sushruta and his later students and disciples first used rhinoplasty to reconstruct noses that were amputated as a punishment for crimes. The techniques of forehead flap rhinoplasty he developed are practiced almost unchanged to this day.

Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a nose job , can correct many imperfections in the nose including a nasal hump or a deviated septum, and can also improve appearance by narrowing the tip or shortening the nose.  Rhinoplasty is performed on about 350,000 American noses annually, making it the most common cosmetic surgical procedure. Rhinoplasty, also known asnose surgery, or nose job is the most popular plastic surgery procedure. It is a procedure that reshapes and re-drapes the nose in order to get a more symmetric proportionate and vibrant facial appearance and for functional purposes. Rhinoplasty can reshape and re drape the nose in a number of ways. A bulky nose can be made smaller and a small nose can be made bigger. The tip of the nose can be moulded to the desired shape that is necessary by sculpting the cartilages and re draping the skin.

Broadly, there are three techniques of Rhinoplasty . The first one is the open technique and the second one the closed technique. The third technique is the Delivery technique. If the open technique is used most of the incisions remain inside the nose. One incision made across the Columella. The skin envelope over the Cartilage framework of the nose is lifted to allow the cartilage structure of the nose to be seen. The framework can be seen in its natural state and then the surgeon can make surgical changes to create a more aesthetically pleasing nose.. When the closed technique is used the incisions are made inside the nose. Then cartilage is pulled out from the nose and shaped. In the delivery technique the cartilages are dissected outcompletely without transecting the columella and delivered out so that they can be sculpted by the surgeon under direct vision to achieve the desired shape.

The closed procedure is less time consuming as compared to the open procedure, But the open procedure provides better access for sculpting the cartilages and the nasal skeletal frame work.

Nasal augmentation can be done using a wide variety of  implant materials. The choice of the material depends on the case and the Surgeons experience with the material. Natural materials like the bone or cartilage can also be used.

If you decide to go ahead with the rhinoplasty, you will need to find a good, board-certified cosmetic surgeon or plastic surgeon.
